Financial education tool focused on FIRE and opportunity costs.
Finspan is a narrowly-scoped financial education tool. It does one thing well: help people understand FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) by making the math of opportunity cost visible.
The premise: most money decisions are intuitively hard because the consequences are decades away. Finspan compresses the timeline. Spend $1 today versus invest it for thirty years at a realistic return; bump the savings rate from 15% to 25%; pay down a 6% loan versus invest at an expected 7% — the answers come out in time-to-FI, not abstract dollar figures.
Education first, planning second. The goal is to make the trade-offs legible, not to replace a financial advisor.
